Alibaba Unveils Qwen-Image-3.0 with Open API, Starting at 0.18 Yuan per Image
Alibaba’s Qwen team officially released the Qwen-Image-3.0 image generation model on August 5, making it fully accessible to users via the Qwen AI platform. Both the flagship Pro version and the Standard version have launched their APIs, with text-to-image generation starting at just 0.18 yuan per image. International users can access the service through Qwen Cloud. According to the latest rankings on Arena.ai, a leading international evaluation platform, this model currently holds the top domestic position.

Qwen-Image-3.0 is engineered for ultra-long text comprehension and high-fidelity rendering. Capable of processing instructions up to 4.5k tokens, the model can generate complex layouts—including storyboards, exam papers, and nine-grid knowledge maps—in a single output. It delivers precise detail rendering, accurately reproducing 10px small text and full pages of LaTeX academic formulas. The model also renders realistic human features, such as skin texture and hair, and supports the seamless restoration of ancient paintings. Additionally, it encompasses over 100 art styles, native rendering in 12 languages, and integrates world knowledge with online search capabilities.

The model is already integrated into commercial workflows for e-commerce visuals, film storyboards, advertising posters, and architectural rendering. Pricing is structured to maximize cost-effectiveness: the Standard version costs 0.18 yuan per image for 1K and 2K resolutions, while the Pro version is priced at 0.25 yuan for 1K and 0.5 yuan for 2K. Image editing inputs start as low as 0.02 yuan per image, significantly boosting the efficiency and affordability of commercial-grade AI image generation.
