Alibaba Cloud debuts Qwen Book, its new AI intelligent agent computer

Alibaba Cloud unveiled the AI Agent Computer Qwen Book at the 2026 Yunqi Conference, a device designed for intent recognition, continuous learning, and long-term task execution. Featuring a Skill keyboard array, global AI keys, and voice handwriting pens, it offers an operational space capable of handling heavy workloads around the clock, addressing collaboration inefficiencies between apps and Agents in traditional AI office environments.
Grounded in the "OS as Harness" philosophy, Qwen Book leverages the Qwen terminal-cloud model to integrate operating systems, applications, cloud services, and hardware. It centralizes interactive access points, runtime environments, personal context, and hardware controls to create an Agent computing environment that is understandable, memorable, sustainable, and governable. Zhang Xiantao, Vice President of Alibaba Cloud R&D and President of the Terminal Intelligent Computing Business Unit, envisions Qwen Book evolving from a hardware tool into a token-driven, continuously growing agent carrier, advancing personal intelligence toward RSI.
Regarding its ecosystem, Qwen Book has achieved compatibility with partners including Qualcomm, Intel, Logitech, and Kenu, while integrating Alibaba applications like Alipay and Qwen Input Method. It also exposes system interfaces and capability integrations. During the conference, Qwen Book announced a collaboration with the open-source project Omarchy to explore next-generation desktop operating systems for Agents.
