Its final scores across multiple subjects not only surpassed the admission benchmarks but also outperformed actual human "top scorers."

Looking back to 2024, the AI model struggled with the demanding entrance exams of the University of Tokyo and failed to produce satisfactory results. Yet just over a year later, technological breakthroughs completely reversed the outcome.
In what is regarded as a "hell-level" entrance exam for the University of Tokyo's Science Department III (medical specialty), ChatGPT's performance was remarkable. It achieved a perfect score in mathematics, and its total score was 50 points higher than the top human score. This marks that AI has now reached a level where it can surpass the brightest human minds in complex logical reasoning and advanced computational logic.
All Records Broken at Top Universities
The test covered both humanities and science challenges. According to the data, in the University of Tokyo entrance exam (maximum score 550), ChatGPT scored 452 in the humanities (humanities and social sciences), easily surpassing the human high score of 434. In the science exam, it scored 503, far exceeding the previous human record of 453.
The University of Kyoto's exam hall also saw this milestone. In the law school entrance exam, the AI set a new record of 771, beating the previous record of 734. In the medical school selection, it achieved an exceptional score of 1176, breaking the previous human record of 1098 set by the top scorer.
