FAQ
How do I check if my agent is already connected to AgentWallet?
Check for the existence of ~/.agentwallet/config.json file. If this file exists and contains an apiToken field, your agent is already connected and authenticated. Do not prompt for email in this case.
What blockchain networks and tokens does AgentWallet support?
AgentWallet supports EVM chains (Ethereum mainnet, Base, Optimism, Polygon, Arbitrum, BSC, and their testnets) and Solana (mainnet and devnet). Supported payment tokens are USDC, USDT, and CASH. The system can automatically select the optimal chain based on available balance.
How does the x402/fetch one-step payment proxy work?
The x402/fetch endpoint acts as a payment proxy - you simply send the target API URL and request body, and the server automatically detects 402 payment requirements, signs the transaction using your wallet, and retries the request with payment proof. This eliminates manual payment handling.
Can I preview payment costs before executing a transaction?
Yes, add 'dryRun': true to your x402/fetch request. This returns payment details including chain, amount, and policy check results without actually executing the payment or API call.
What happens if my wallet policy denies a payment?
If a payment exceeds policy limits or violates spending rules, the request fails with a POLICY_DENIED error (HTTP 403). Policy checks happen before any transaction is signed, preventing unauthorized spending.
AgentWallet
AgentWallet provides server wallets for AI agents. Wallets are provisioned after email OTP verification. All signing happens server-side and is policy-controlled.

Security:

Connect Flow

Actions (Policy Controlled)
Human confirmation required: Transfer, contract-call, and sign-message are write operations that move funds or authorize on-chain actions. Always confirm with your user before calling these endpoints — show the recipient, amount, chain, and action type, and wait for explicit approval. Read-only endpoints (balances, activity, stats, policy GET) do not require confirmation.

MPP (Machine Payments Protocol)
The /x402/fetch endpoint auto-detects both x402 and MPP protocols — no agent changes needed. When a target API responds with WWW-Authenticate: Payment (MPP) instead of payment-required (x402), the server handles it transparently.
How MPP Works
