Shanghai Institute for Scientific Intelligence unveiled Shenzhen, a multimodal foundation model with 11 billion parameters, at WAIC2026. It supports six scientific data types (DNA, RNA, proteins, small molecules, Earth systems, medical images) and integrates understanding and generation. Open source weights and code are released on Hugging Face and GitHub.
